9. Pale Demon - Pale Rider - Blutdämon
Wow. Just wow.
This book mostly exists because so many fans wanted to know what's going on between Trent and Rachel and therefore Kim came up with the solution to just put them into a car for 3000 miles. Soo, Rachel has to attend a witch conference in San Francisco to get her shunning removed while Trent has to go to Seattle on an elf quest. On their trip they are accompanied by Pierce, the coven witch Vivian, and of course, Ivy and Jenks. Oh, and a day-walking demon which was freed by Trent. Stupid elf. This mixes up to a pretty funny and pretty thrilling community.
But, although the road-trip-part takes up a lot of space, the real action kicks off when they are at the convention. And after the convention. And in the everafter. And and and Rachel has never kissed so many people in one book I think.
I can understand why Pale Demon is Kim’s favorite book in the series. More than twice my jaw dropped and hung open for several pages! An incredible, fast-paced, funny and thrilling book, which no Hollows fan can avoid.
Just one last question: when is it finally July???
"Yeah," Jenks said, voice muffled from the brownie. "You just click your heels and think there's no place like being pwned." (216)
Jenks to Trent about their little "family":
"Rache is the little sister. Ivy's the big sister. I'm the uncle from out of state, and you're the rich nephew no one likes but we put up with you anyway because we feel sorry for you." (222)
